Since 1867, Westbourne Grammar School has helped students think deeply, grow with confidence and make a meaningful difference in the world.
Across two campuses in Truganina and Williamstown, more than 2,200 students from 70 nationalities and 35 faith backgrounds learn in a place where diversity, ambition and belonging matter.
Westbourne’s ‘Inspire’ learning philosophy ensures students don’t just absorb knowledge – they build the critical thinking, emotional intelligence and ethical awareness to navigate a complex world. Learning here is active, hands-on and immersive. Students don’t just study mathematics; they become mathematicians by solving real problems. They don’t just explore the arts; they become artists through experimentation and expression. And when they play music, they are musicians – performing, creating and refining their craft with passion and purpose.
Great teachers are at the heart of this. Westbourne invests in its educators with sector-leading conditions: leadership development programs, fully funded overseas fellowships, postgraduate study support and flexible work policies. This commitment to growth and wellbeing helps attract and retain passionate, high-performing staff who inspire every learner.
Graduates leave not only with strong academic results, but the confidence and skills to lead with purpose.
As an independent, forward-thinking girls’ school we are committed to preparing girls for a lifetime of learning, leadership and engagement in our global community. We believe in girls.
At Ruyton Girls’ School we foster the individuality of each girl in a caring and safe environment, nurturing her intellectual, physical, social and emotional qualities that are essential to flourish.
Powerful learning is central to the Ruyton culture, building on our strong academic reputation. We focus on advancing the learning of every girl through the engagement of intellectual curiosity, building their knowledge and skills about how to learn, and supporting them to achieve their personal best and be exemplary citizens. We believe in real-world learning beyond the classroom, collaborating with the wider community to promote growth, discovery and sustainability.
We empower our girls to lead lives of purpose with courage, character and compassion. Through the development of values and action-focused learning they are inspired to pursue equity and justice for self and others. By embracing diversity and raising their voices, our girls effect positive change and make a difference.
