Kate Archer is an outstanding primary school teacher with an unwavering commitment to knowing, nurturing and challenging every student in her care. In her role as High Potential and Gifted Education Teacher and Acting Coordinator of Teaching and Learning in the Junior School, Kate builds exceptional rapport with her students, taking the time to understand each learner’s starting point, strengths, interests and potential. Through the thoughtful use of student data, she develops a holistic understanding of every child and uses this insight to inform purposeful, targeted teaching.

High Potential and Gifted Education Teacher/ Acting Coordinator of Teaching and Learning
Kate completed a Master's of Gifted Education, deepening her understanding of evidence-based strategies to identify, extend and support high-potential learners. She actively engages in professional learning and networking through the Independent Primary School Heads Association and is a member of the Australian Education Research Organisation’s (AERO) Panel of Educators, Teachers and Leaders. Kate recently presented at the Mathematical Association of NSW Conference and the Unpacking School Wide Data Conference, where she shared Loreto Kirribilli Junior School’s approach to building teacher and student agency through data-informed practice. Her contributions to the profession have also been recognised internationally through a presentation at the Global Forum on Girls’ Education in Toronto. Kate was selected for the prestigious Global Action Research Collaborative on Girls’ Education (GARC) Fellowship, an international initiative focused on advancing girls’ education globally. She is currently leading research exploring the role of creativity as a catalyst for change.
