Firbank Grammar is an independent school in Brighton, Victoria. Their vision is for our students to embody our motto: 'Vincit qui se vincit' - one conquers, who conquers oneself. Their purpose is to provide a more than exceptional education, where we care for our students and offer a breadth of experiences, knowledge and skills that equip them to be continuous ‘conquerors of learning’ and ready for life. This carefully designed and facilitated sequential Experiential Educational Program offers purposeful and empowering educational experiences that build character, address current issues and provide optimistic views for the future. All students in Years 7 – 10 participate in this learning journey. Their focus on student achievement, wellbeing, strong community and sustainability is evident in our commitment to offer two key experiences in each year level. Years 11 – 12 programs become more optional, promoting leadership, agency and engagement. Each experience varies in length and learning objectives but is carefully scaffolded to provide the necessary skills and experiences to promote exploration and discovery. Their students develop self-efficacy and their understanding of how they want to learn, live, lead and grow in an everchanging world.
