At Balcombe Grammar we pride ourselves on our strong sense of community spirit; we are a connected community. Our School is small enough for each student to be personally known and recognised, yet large enough to offer an extensive range of opportunities which support our student’s growth and development into well-rounded young people.
Our Strategic Plan looks to further develop what is already a very special school. The 2020 & Beyond Balcombe Grammar School Strategic Plan will enable us to:
• Evolve to assist both the school and its community to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
• Pursue excellence with passion in the service of co-educational education.

Local Government in New Zealand consists of 78 local, regional and unitary councils. The Far North District Council is the most northern territorial authority and serves the residents of Kaitaia, Kaikohe, Kawakawa, Kerikeri, Paihia and Russell, as well as several smaller settlements and rural and Māori communities. We are a growing district of 71,000 people spread over 7,324km². The Far North district stretches from Cape Rēinga at the northern tip of New Zealand down to the Bay of Islands and Hokianga.

Ross has a strong affinity for Balcombe Grammar’s Vision, Purpose and Values, as well as a close alignment with the key objectives within our Strategic Plan. His experience in, and commitment to, educating Primary and Secondary students in a co-educational setting has assisted the school navigate the challenges of recent times successfully.
